I attended UC Davis and majored in biology with a minor in education. I received my California teaching credential and taught high school science in Carmel, CA. I then moved to Ames, Iowa after marrying my husband. The military stationed us there for him to teach ROTC, and I taught at a Sylvan Learning Center. I applied and was accepted to veterinary school at Iowa State University. In 1995, my husband and I moved back to his home state of Florida and I began work as an associate veterinarian in St. Petersburg. I worked at five different practices over the first 15 years and gained wonderful experience. From 2010 to 2017, I then owned my own practice, Plantation Animal Hospital of Tampa.
I firmly believe in treating the whole animal, not just the symptoms. My mission is to understand and strengthen the bond between you and your pet and work to extend the quality time you share. To go beyond quick fixes and address the underlying causes of health problems, promoting true well-being and vitality for our beloved companions.
I'm passionate about empowering pet owners by giving them the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions for their furry friends. Together, we'll embark on a journey of understanding as I share valuable information on nutrition, preventive care, behavior, and more.
My social presence shares valuable information and empowers pet owners like you to make the best choices for your pets.
I have always had a love for animals and sciences but really wanted to be a lifelong learner with something new and challenging daily. When I was exposed to all of the information you need to possess to be a good veterinarian, I knew this was the profession for me.
